From 1–5 December 2025, UNCCD Parties will gather in Panama City for the 23rd session of the Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention (CRIC23) of the UNCCD.
This major UN meeting will bring together governments, civil society, academia, women, youth, Indigenous Peoples and local communities to review progress, share solutions and strengthen global action on:
✅ Combating desertification
✅ Building drought resilience
✅ Restoring land and biodiversity
📍 Hosted at the Panama Convention Center, CRIC23 will highlight Panama’s Nature Pledge and its leadership in tackling land degradation, climate change and biodiversity loss.
